Hello! I am Chloe Patchin, a mental health counseling intern working under the supervision of Dr. Frey. I provide both therapy and neuropsychological/ psychoeducational evaluations, offering clients a well-rounded and integrated approach to care! I am currently a graduate student at Southeastern University, pursuing my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling. My goals are to become a licensed counselor to provide quality, holistic therapeutic services to adolescents and young adults in order to help them overcome obstacles and give them HOPE again.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida and have since gained over half of a decade of experience as a psychometrist. I have administered a wide range of psychological and neuropsychological assessments to individuals ages 3 through adulthood, working alongside neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists, and school psychologists throughout several states, including the central Florida area. I currently assist Dr. Frey in conducting comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults.

I offer neuropsychological evaluations to individuals ages 4+ years old, as well as therapy for teens and young adults (ages 13–40). Having a counselor who also offers therapy and evaluations can be challenging to find, and is very beneficial. By providing both testing and therapy, we can eliminate delays that are often common with external referrals, and allow treatment to begin promptly with a seamless transition from testing to therapy! It is important to note that an evaluation is not required to begin therapy— clients may choose to pursue an evaluation at any point during therapy treatment, or not at all, depending on their needs, goals, and wants.

I have a holistic, integrative approach to therapy, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I strive to create a calm, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment where clients feel safe to share their experiences and empowered to begin their healing journey. It is a privilege for client’s to share any part of their life and to be part of each client’s story, and I am committed to helping individuals build resilience, gain insight, and rediscover HOPE. This integrative approach also assist with those clients who are wanting both an evaluation and therapy.

Outside of counseling and testing, I enjoy quality time with my loved ones, traveling, spending time in nature, art, and playing with my puppy, Odin.
