Therapy

Talk to someone who listens & understands.

Our therapy sessions offer a safe and supportive environment where kids, teens, and adults can explore their thoughts and feelings. Our caring professionals are here to listen and help you take the next right step towards healing and personal growth.

  • Our therapy sessions for kids create a safe space where they can express their thoughts and feelings freely. Many children face challenges like anxiety, bullying, or family changes that can impact their happiness and development. With our support, your child will learn to manage big emotions and build confidence, helping them navigate friendships and social situations more effectively.

  • For teens, our therapy sessions provide a supportive environment to address the unique pressures they face. Issues like peer pressure, academic stress, and personal identity can create confusion and anxiety. We help your teen find their voice and develop resilience, enabling them to tackle these challenges and foster healthier relationships with themselves and others.

  • Our therapy for adults offers a safe haven to confront the pressures of daily life. Many adults struggle with stress, anxiety, and relationship difficulties that can feel overwhelming. Through our sessions, you will gain insights and coping strategies to navigate work-life balance, improve your mental health, and enhance your overall well-being.

Our Approach

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a proven approach that examines how our thoughts affect our emotions and behaviors. We guide clients through recognizing and challenging negative thinking patterns, which lead to improved emotional health and constructive behavior changes. As a result, individuals gain practical skills to effectively navigate the ups and downs of life with ease.

Other Methods

We understand that each client’s needs are unique, which is why we incorporate various approaches as needed, including family therapy, interpersonal therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. These evidence-based methods empower us to provide targeted, personalized support—using the tools that best fit each person’s journey toward wellness.

Therapy FAQ’s

  • A typical therapy session is 50 minutes. We recommend arriving a few minutes early so you have time to check in and get started right away.

  • No, we do not accept insurance at this time. Our out-of-pocket payment methods include FSA and HSA cards, cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of our practice. Confidentiality allows you to speak openly in therapy without fear that others will know what you have discussed. However, if there are concerns about your safety or the safety of others, it’s important that your therapist is able to intervene for your protection.

  • Yes, there are a few specific situations where confidentiality might be broken:

    • Risk of Harm: If you or someone else is at risk of harm (e.g., if you express intent to hurt or kill yourself or someone else).

    • Child Abuse: If there is suspicion or evidence of child abuse or neglect, we are legally obligated to report it.

    • Elder Abuse: If there is suspected elder abuse, we must report it.

    • Legal Requirements: In some legal situations, such as subpoenas or court orders, we may be required to disclose information.

  • For Adults:
In your first therapy session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding your concerns. It’s a chance for you to share your story, and we’ll discuss your goals for therapy. This session is all about creating a comfortable and safe space for you to express yourself.

    For Teens & Children:
For your child or adolescent's initial therapy session, we'll begin by speaking with the parent or guardian for a few minutes to gather background information, discuss current concerns, set treatment goals, and review confidentiality and its limits. The therapist will then spend time building rapport with your child or teen, exploring the reasons for seeking therapy. Our goal is to create a positive experience that fosters hope, ensuring your child or teen leaves feeling comfortable and eager to return.

  • The length of therapy varies for each individual and depends on your specific needs and goals. Some people may find relief in just a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term support. We’ll regularly check in to assess your progress and adjust our approach as needed.

  • Typically, sessions are held weekly or every other week, but the frequency can be adjusted based on your needs and schedule. Consistency can help you build momentum, but we’re flexible and will work together to find a rhythm that suits you best.

  • Cancellations made outside of 24 hours are accepted without charge. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment—unless due to an emergency or illness—will result in a full-session fee charge to the card on file. This policy helps us maintain consistency and ensure that our services are available to those who need them.
